It is with great happiness that I would like to announce that our long hiatus is finally over. This website is my personal pride and joy, but sometimes life can get in the way and I need to take a step back to sort things out- it is unfortunate, and sometimes unavoidable and yet I do apologize for making you, my loyal readers, have to wait so long for new content. In the past months, I’ve moved to a new home here in Bloomington, Indiana, gotten a new job, and re-enrolled in school in an effort to finally earn a useful degree in the field of IT. So suffice to say, I’ve been a little busy and took this time off to not only deal with that, but figure out how all these aspects of my life can fit together and still have room for this little website of mine.
Luckily, I have been able to get some gaming in during this time and it is something for which I am incredibly grateful. I have been fortunate enough to move into a neighborhood that is populated heavily with gamers, and soon after meeting these lovely people, I was introducing them to some of my favorite games. It is a regular occurrence that in the evening, I may hear a knock on my door. Opening it, I’m greeted by one of these neighbors and invited to grab some games and come on over.
This has reinforced the very reason why I love gaming so much (and consequently why I started this site.) Gaming is about community, social interaction, and the creation of memories and stories that can be shared long after. The game itself matters little, what does matter is that a group of people managed to find some time to sit down together and enjoy an experience. All the issues of our time are set aside for a brief afternoon or evening, and all that matters is the succinct task in front of you.
In the coming months, I hope to shift the focus of this site somewhat- focusing less on reviews (don’t worry, they’ll still be there) and more on in depth editorials, interviews, and opinion and theory pieces. Reviews are great, but for a small operation like mine, they can be financially crippling. So be prepared for less content in our review section, but hopefully content of a higher quality over all. So again, dear readers, I thank you for your patience leading up to this moment in time- I couldn’t do this without your continued support and readership, for which I am eternally grateful.
